Sacramental Preparation for Confirmation
The Church recognizes parents as the first and best teachers of the faith for their children (Second Vatican Council, Gravissum Educationis, 28 October 1965; Saint John Paul II, Letter to Families, 2 February 1994). The parish will support you with excellent resources and guidance.
In the Archdiocese of Edmonton, children may prepare for Confirmation at age eleven.
Note: Children must have already received the Sacraments of Baptism, First Reconciliation and First Eucharist before receiving Confirmation
